The Leather and Shoe cluster has visited SIMAC Tanning Tec as well as Lineapelle exhibitions in Milan, Italy during 22-25 of February, 2016 with the participation of 10 cluster members with the support of the Italian Trade Mission and the Private Sector Development Cluster project which is funded by the French Agency for Development (AFD). Over the course of three days, the companies were introduced to the latest technology in leather tanning and shoe manufacturing through the SIMAC Tanning Tec exhibition. The companies also identified the latest materials, designs, colors and suppliers through the Lineapelle exhibition. Several companies participating in the exhibition held trade deals for the purchase of equipment and raw materials.
