In order to raise its competitiveness and increase their market share locally and penetrate new markets. Based on the cluster analysis’s and to market needs, the cluster founds that the companies need to have certain development service in order to build there capacities. Those includes design, technical services, and training and information services. Therefore, the cluster decided to establish a Furniture Development Center in cooperation with An Najah National University (the host of the center) that will provide all the required services.
The cluster commissioned an expert to prepare a business plan and the structure of services that will be provided. The business plan has defined the need for the design unit, which should be equipped with a CAD/CAM program knowing that the majority of factories in the cluster are equipped with CNC machine and mostly from SCM Company.
Therefore, the cluster has solicit offers from relevant providers to purchase A CAD/CAM furniture design system, as it is the main part of the innovation center.
