Business Mission to Indonesia - First Visit

The main objective of the mission was to interact with the market in order to validate the study findings. Since the study showed some opportunities, it became so important to test those opportunities and meet potential people and to see to what extent those opportunities are real.

The timing of the mission has been fixed to be in the same period of two main business events in Indonesia where businessmen meet; Tasikmalaya Investment Expo and Trade Expo Indonesia, where it took place in the period of 6-16 of October, 2016.

It was important to open proper communication with supporting agencies in Indonesia to facilitate the logistics and meetings, and we were successful in cooperating with good supporting institutions in Indonesia that helped in communication and management of the whole mission.

The mission had been planned and organized by the cluster animator so that it will be possible to meet as much people as possible from the target segments in Indonesia including stone traders, designers, and construction and real estate institutions.

General Evaluation

In general the mission was successful in terms of:

  • Achieving the main goal of testing the potential opportunities
  • Validating study findings
  • Knowing more about the market where the study didn’t address
  • Organizing the whole mission was so successful
  • S&M Cluster participants were so happy
