The Costing training workshop took place during the period of 15-28 of December, 2015, where PIS experts Dr. Shadi Hamad and Mr. Rami Zaghal worked with selected enterprises on applying the knowledge, skills, and techniques learned from formal training. Special care was given to challenge the participants to test their new skills and to demonstrate new knowledge.
The training course tackled many main concepts such as Under-costing, Over-costing, Simple Product Costing, Activity Based Costing, and Direct and Indirect Costs which all require a good grasp of accounting categories and terms. Moreover, it included the concepts of Product pricing, Mix decisions, Cost Reduction, and Maximizing Profit which are all related to using financial information to make decisions.
